The palace was completed built in 1888 during the reign of Sultan Makmun Al-Rashid Perkasa Alamsyah. Since 1946, the palace inhabited the heirs of the Deli Sultanate. The total palace building area is about 2,772 meter with a yard area of 4 hectares.
